About
Viaduct Fishery, set in the stunning Cary Valley in Somerton, Somerset, is one of the UK's most scenic and established commercial fisheries. Originally constructed in the early 1980s and owned by the Long family since 1999, the site offers a natural and peaceful environment for anglers of all abilities. The complex boasts six well-stocked lakes, all available on a day ticket basis from dawn to dusk. The fishery features Spring and Middle lakes joined together, holding some of the biggest carp on the complex up to 27lb, plus plenty of silvers and excellent perch fishing. Match Lake is perfect for juniors and beginners, heavily stocked with F1s and single figure carp. Lodge Lake sits closest to the shop with carp from 2lb to 20lb, while Cary Lake, known as "Scary Cary", is a runs water with fish to the mid-20s and perch to 4lb. Campbell Lake serves as the dedicated match venue with an impressive match record of 462lb. For those seeking a longer stay, Viaduct offers seven high-quality Norwegian log cabin holiday lodges. Options include 1, 2, and 3-bedroom lodges, with lakeside accommodation featuring private fishing pegs and select lakeview lodges complete with private hot tubs. An on-site tackle shop ensures guests are well-equipped, whether visiting for serious angling or simply to enjoy a tranquil countryside retreat.
