TackleFlow

TackleFlow · Full Platform Guide

How TackleFlow Works

Everything the platform does, for anglers and for the fisheries running on it.

In This Guide

Part One

For Anglers

From your first account to your first booking: everything you can do as an angler on TackleFlow.

01

Create Your Account

Free to join, no card needed. Takes about a minute.

  1. 01Head to Register and sign up with your email and a password.
  2. 02Confirm your email. Forget your password later? Reset it any time from the login screen.
  3. 03First sign-in takes you through a short profile setup. Pick a username you're happy with, it becomes your public profile URL.
  4. 04You're on the Free tier by default. Everything marked Pro further down is optional, see Level Up below.

Note

You can browse the whole fishery directory without an account. You need one to log catches, book a swim, or post to the community.

02

Set Up Your Profile

Your dashboard is your account home: four tabs cover everything about you.

  • General Profile: display name, avatar and bio.
  • Profile Details: the angling specifics other anglers actually care about.
  • Catch Reports: everything you've published, in one place.
  • Saved: fisheries, lakes and accommodation you've favourited while browsing.

Your public page sits at your own profile URL. That's what other anglers see when they follow you or open one of your catches.

Tip

Filling out your profile properly is what makes your Angler CV (next up) worth having.

03

Build Your Angler CV

A shareable, public angling record. The platform calls it your Professional Identity.

Your Angler CV lives at its own dedicated page and is built from sections you fill in yourself: Hero, Vitals, Bio, Hall of Fame (your personal bests), Video Showcase, Catch Portfolio, and Credentials, your syndicate history and background.

Why it exists: when you apply for a syndicate water or an exclusive ticket, you get asked to prove you're a serious, careful angler. Send one link instead of digging through years of phone photos.

Tip

This is the single biggest reason to keep your catch log up to date. Your CV is only as good as the record behind it.

04

Log Your Catches

Your private-first fishing journal: species, weight, venue and photos.

A carp on the mat, ready to log
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the catch log
  1. 01Open Catch Log and add a catch: species, weight, venue and a photo.
  2. 02Filter your own log down to one species or one venue to see your history at a glance.
  3. 03Publish a catch as a public catch report and it appears in Catch Reports, where other anglers can see and comment on it.
  4. 04Catch Reports also has a leaderboard, ranking catches across the platform.

Note

Free tier gives you limited catch logging and limited photo uploads. Pro removes those limits, see Level Up below.

Tip

Log it the same day. Weight and conditions blur fast.

05

Run a Live Session With the Session Tracker

Built for the bank, not the sofa: a live session log that keeps working when your signal doesn't.

A winter session on the bank
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the session tracker
  1. 01Start a session when you get to the bank. The timer runs for the whole trip.
  2. 02Set up multiple rods and edit them as you go.
  3. 03Log every rig and bait change with a timestamp, so afterwards you can see what you were actually on when the fish came.
  4. 04Add catches as they happen. They go straight into the session, not a separate app.
  5. 05The tracker takes a live weather and location snapshot as you fish, so your session carries real conditions data, not remembered ones.
  • Wake lock keeps the screen on while you're using it, so there's no unlocking your phone with wet hands at 3am.
  • Offline sync writes everything to your device and pushes it up automatically once you're back in range. UK bank signal is unreliable; the tracker is built around that, not against it.

Afterwards, Session History lists every session you've run, and each one opens to a full breakdown with session analytics and an activity chart showing when the action actually happened.

Tip

Start the session before you cast, not after the first fish. The timeline is only useful if it covers the blank hours too.

06

Map the Water

Your own private map of the venues you fish.

Placeholder: swap for a shot of lake mapping
  • Drop pins on swims, and mark snags, features and feeding zones on Lake Mapping.
  • Switch to satellite view to work out where the features actually are.
  • Each pin opens its own spot page for the detail.
  • Your maps are private to you and synced to your account, so they follow you to any device.

Note

Free tier gets trial access to lake mapping. The full toolset is Pro.

07

Find Somewhere to Fish

The directory is the core of the platform: every UK fishery, lake and place to stay in one search.

A fishery in the directory
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the directory
  • Directory: filter fisheries by fishing type, species, facilities and more.
  • Fishery pages show lakes, pricing, facilities, rules, photos, catch reports and angler reviews.
  • Drill into an individual lake page, or a place to stay on the accommodation pages.
  • Browse by area, or search UK fisheries as a whole.
  • Global search covers the whole platform, right from the header search bar.

Tip

Hit the save button on anything worth remembering, it lands in the Saved tab of your dashboard. Reviews are star-rated and written by anglers who've actually fished there.

08

Compare Venues With the Trip Planner

For when you've got a shortlist and a weekend to spend.

The Trip Planner puts fisheries side by side so you can compare on species, distance, price and facilities in one view, instead of ten open tabs.

09

Book Your Trip

Fishing, accommodation, events and matches: booked and held in one place.

Lodge accommodation at a venue
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the booking flow
  1. 01Venues on the Partner tier take bookings directly through TackleFlow. You'll see booking options right on their fishery page.
  2. 02Book fishing, accommodation, event tickets or a match place.
  3. 03Everything you've booked lives under Bookings in your dashboard, split into fishing, accommodation, events and matches.
  4. 04Bookings come with a digital ticket or pass. Show it on your phone at the gate.
  5. 05Season tickets and club memberships are managed from the Memberships tab of your dashboard.

Note

Not every venue takes online bookings yet. Where a fishery hasn't turned bookings on, the listing still gives you their contact details. Your personal Calendar view sits in your account menu.

10

Join the Community

A feed, a set of forums, and a way to talk to people who actually fish.

Anglers on the bank
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the community feed
  • Community feed: three tabs, All, Following and Trending. Post status updates with photos and video; like, comment, and open media in the full viewer.
  • Follow anglers you rate. Your Following tab is then only the people you chose, no algorithm reshuffling it.
  • Forums for longer discussions that don't belong in a feed.
  • Messages for direct messages: angler to angler, and angler to fishery.
  • Notifications and the header bell keep you on top of replies, follows and booking updates.
  • Matches for match fishing, and Events for festivals and competitions with tickets bought on the platform. Running one yourself? You can submit it.
11

Buy, Sell and Swap Gear

The classifieds: tackle bought and sold between anglers, not a shop.

  1. 01Browse the Marketplace, or list something of your own for sale.
  2. 02Manage what you've listed from My Listings, and keep an eye on things you're watching in Saved.
  3. 03Sellers carry star ratings from previous buyers, so you can see who you're dealing with before you commit.
12

Level Up: XP, Ranks and Pro

Using the platform earns you XP. Pro removes the limits on it.

  • XP and ranks: your progress bar and current rank sit in the header dropdown, with a toast when you gain.
  • Learn: curated fishing videos, rigs and tactics guides, and bait & tackle pages.

Free includes: browsing the fishery directory, limited catch logging, limited photo uploads, limited community access, and trial lake mapping.

Pro · £5/month

Full directory access, unlimited catch logging, unlimited photo and video uploads, full community and forum access, the full lake mapping toolset, advanced analytics, full Tackle Box access, exclusive offers and discounts, and a Pro badge on your profile. Payments run through Stripe. Cancel whenever.

Part Two

For Fisheries

TackleFlow isn't just a directory listing. Every fishery gets a real back-office. Here's what running a venue on the platform actually looks like.

01

Get Listed, Free

TackleFlow isn't just a directory listing. Every fishery gets a real back-office. Here's what running a venue on the platform actually looks like.

A listed fishery
Placeholder: swap for a shot of a live listing
  1. 01Start at List Your Fishery.
  2. 02The Free tier lists you straight away. No card, no contract.
  3. 03Listings typically go live within a few hours.
  4. 04Once you're in, you manage everything yourself from your fishery dashboard. Most edits go live instantly, no waiting on approval.
02

Build Out the Listing

The Fishery Info tab is where your listing actually gets built.

  • Split into contact, pricing, features, facilities, rules and location tabs.
  • Add photos: this is the single biggest driver of whether an angler clicks through.
  • Missing Info, under Insights, flags exactly which fields you've left blank, so you're never guessing at what's letting the listing down.
03

Add Your Lakes

One fishery, as many lakes as you actually have.

A lake at a listed venue
Placeholder: swap for a shot of lake management

Each lake gets its own species list, peg count, rules, day-ticket pricing and photos. Anglers can find and land directly on an individual lake page, so it's worth filling each one in properly rather than lumping everything into the fishery description.

04

Add Accommodation

Lodges, cabins, caravans: attach any on-site accommodation to your fishery.

Each unit gets its own details, pricing and photos, plus its own page in the accommodation directory.

05

Turn On Online Bookings

Online bookings are a Partner tier feature. Turn it on and a new group appears in your dashboard nav.

  • Booking Settings: how bookings work at your venue.
  • Lake Manager: availability and closures, per lake.
  • Accommodation Manager: availability and closures, per unit.
  • Add-ons: booking extras such as bait, equipment, or food and drink.
  • Accommodation Add-ons: extras attached to specific accommodation units.

Note

No contracts. If you cancel a paid tier, the listing drops back to Free. It isn't deleted.

06

Manage Bookings and Get Paid

One screen for bookings, one for the money.

A venue at first light
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the earnings page
  • Bookings: manage fishing and accommodation bookings in one place.
  • Earnings: TackleFlow takes 10% commission on bookings. You see gross, commission and net on every transaction, a month-by-month breakdown, and the status of each payout (pending or paid) with its reference number.
07

Talk to Your Anglers

The Community group in your dashboard: everything that isn't bookings.

  • Updates: post closures and announcements so anglers aren't turning up to a shut gate.
  • Reviews: read and manage the reviews anglers leave you.
  • Catch Reports: moderate the catch photos anglers submit against your venue before they appear.
  • Session Reports: the session write-ups anglers produce from their own sessions at your water.
  • Matches: run and manage match fishing events.
  • Memberships: season tickets and club memberships.
  • Messages: a direct line to the TackleFlow team. Angler DMs come through the normal messages system.
08

See What's Working

Analytics you can actually act on, not vanity numbers.

A canal venue
Placeholder: swap for a shot of the analytics page
  • Page views and click-throughs, broken down by channel: website, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, directions, phone, email and share, both monthly and lifetime.
  • Visits per lake and per accommodation unit, so you can see which of your waters is actually pulling the traffic.
  • Running more than one venue? The fishery switcher moves you between them without logging out.

Tip

Higher tiers rank above free listings in search and get rotated through the homepage, main feed and sidebars. Worth weighing against the 10% commission once bookings pick up.
