Newhay Lakes
1 / 2About
The Coarse Lake is the largest water on the Newhay Lakes complex at 3.5 acres and is located at the front of the venue. It holds 14 species of fish including mirror, common, ghost, crucian and grass carp to 25lb, alongside a significant head of double figure fish. Chub, barbel, tench, perch, rudd, roach and bream are all present in numbers, making it one of the most diverse and well-stocked waters in the region. With the correct method and baiting approach the Coarse Lake provides an exceptional runs water experience, and many specimen carp anglers fish it alongside the Specimen Lake during their visits. Day tickets are available without membership. Night fishing is restricted to members only — coarse lake membership costs £20 per year and runs March to March, covering both the coarse lake and match lake. Barbless hooks only to a maximum size 10. No bait boats, no keepnets, no nuts or tiger nuts. Groundbait and sweetcorn must be introduced via feeders or pole cups only — not by hand. No cat food. Landing nets and unhooking mats must be used when carp fishing. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Departure by 11am.
