Horseshoe Lake is a 3-acre water with 30 pegs, reaching a maximum depth of 9 feet with widths of 16 to 20 metres. Stocked with carp, bream, roach, rudd, crucians, specimen perch, skimmers, dace, chub and tench, it is a great venue for both the matchman and pleasure angler. The current match record stands at 191lb. Pole fishing works well under nearside bushes, down the middle, or across to the far bank, with waggler and bomb also effective. Caster fished down the middle takes good mixed bags. Summer carp baits include pellet, paste and meat.
